Olayode made this known in a post shared on her Instagram page while addressing the different choices women make about relationships and marriage.
The actress said women who are content with being single or choose not to marry should be respected, just as those who desire marriage should be free to express their wishes without being judged.
She stressed that wanting a husband does not diminish a woman’s ambitions, achievements or sense of purpose.
“Wanting to get married is not a personality disorder,” Olayode wrote.
According to her, although marriage can come with challenges and some unions end painfully, many people still consider it a beautiful institution and genuinely hope to experience it.
Olayode also recalled an encounter at a salon where she overheard some women criticising another woman for openly expressing her desire to get married.
She said she shared her thoughts during the conversation and later found the situation amusing after coming across a “BRIDE” swimsuit that a friend had gifted her in 2024.
The actress maintained that people have the right to decide whether or not marriage is for them, but should equally respect those who want to build a life with a partner.
She noted that women can pursue different goals, including faith, purpose, career growth, financial independence, friendship, family and marriage.
Olayode concluded by wishing women who desire marriage the opportunity to find good partners and build fulfilling unions.
“Up Love! Up Marriage!” she added.
